Zanskar, Zangskar which is hidden in the lap of Himalayas. The wonderfully beautiful Zanskar valley has been always known for its breath-taking mountain landscapes and its remote and ancient villages. The ancient monasteries in Zanskar are often built around ancient cliff top meditation caves, preserving an archaic form of Buddhism. In this tour you will enjoy different cultures of Himachal & Ladakh.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Manali to Purne  Zanskar .  120 Km 6 hrs
Morning after breakfast you will drive from Manali. On the way you will cross Atal Tunnel, Rotang valley, Lahaul valley later drive to Shingkurla pass. Shingkurla pass is the height of 5150 meters and you will find beautiful view from the top of Shingula pass. Later you will drive down toward Gonbo Rangjon. Gonbo Rangjon is a holy mountain with impressive view. Then drive to Purne. Overnight Purne.

Day 2: Drive Purne to Padum. 55 km 3 hrs. (Optional for Phuktal monastery visit)
You will drive along the Tsarap River. On the way you can visit Mune and Barden Monastery. It will be easy day drive. Overnight Padum.

Day 3: Local sight-seeing Padum. (Visit Karsha Monastery, Sani Lake & Shilla waterfall)
Today you will visit around the central Zanskar. You will visit two beautiful monastery called Karsha and Stongday. You will find beautiful view from the both monasteries. You will also visit two other beautiful places like Sani Lake and Shilla waterfall. Overnight Padum.

Day 4 : Drive Padum to Leh.
Today you will have long drive to Leh via crossing two passes passes called Singhela & Sirsirla. It will be drive of 330 Km approx and it will take around 9 hrs. At the beginning the road is good 50 Km then around 160 Km you have to drive on offroad at last 120 km is good road. You will find beautiful views on the ways. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 5. Transfer to Leh airport.
